48HR Film Challenge ‘In Light of light’ public premiere on Spidvid.

In 2009, there was a 48hr SCI-FI film challenge held in London. One member from every team had to be in London… (Travel in itself was 3-4 hr to get there from B/sea, Essex!) …to be given:

1) A title for a film; ‘In Light of light’ was ours.
2) One Prop.
3) One sentence must be said in the film ours.

We had to make up a whole story around the theme! So Write, Shoot, Edit, complete! And then of course take another 3-4 hours off that to make it back to London at the said time two days later. (You know you London Based film groups had an extra 6+ to sweeten your films ;-) It was a hard task. Many didn’t complete it. We are happy to be among the few that did. This isn’t necessarily a ‘Chance’ film, but certainly isn’t bad either. There’s elements of past work combined in the SCI-FI/Action element, I see watching it now which was a unconscious decision. But for anyone that know us we are quite the perfectionists!
The more time spent on the film the better job. In filming and post. (Read my rant on this soon)

As said not a bad film and we did complete the task. The most important thing! After all was done i slept like a baby for the next couple of days …

Featuring music by Simon Barratt and David Moulton who helped us out at the last minute.

So here it is for the first time one of our films online only on our pal Jeremy Campbell’s website Spidvid.com.

Enjoy!

We need your help! Help donate as little as $10 for our films to reach audiences in Festivals!

We are at the LAST WEEK for donations for film funding for exposure for films in festivals.

We need your help! By donating as little as $10 you get a reward from us! You don’t have to be a US resident to help out either!

The bidding war has begun as Distribution for the THE VEIL (US CUT) as distributors all last week have been emailing us, so this is a film on demand and no mistake. Firstly we feel after the years in making it deserves to be seen in festivals and theaters on the big screen! You can make that happen! THE VEIL (US CUT) and APT. have already been accepted and played at the International Action on Film Film Festival as part of the ‘Official Selection’ proving these are up there with the big leagues no matter the smaller budget! Now we need your help for more exposure!

KKKK 4/5 - Nick Ruskell Kerrang! Magazine

Mark Bennet Gorezone Magazine

“The Veil is a very ambitious film and the people behind it deserve a huge amount of credit for managing to realise such a significant vision.”

(Quote from Paul Prichard) Pulpmovies

“The Veil: Heralds the future of Horror. Forget trite comparisons with other films, shove, oneupmanship and crappy ‘debates’ like ‘Brit flicks vs American Movies’, this is where it’s at. The Veil packs more
visceral punch than Cronenberg on Amphetamine sulphate…see it”

Nigel Buckland ‘VIDS’ Review

“Gritty, realistic…The Veil is brutal enough to terrify the dead themselves”

More than anything you will be helping us get to the next stage with our films. Something we have been pushing for quite some while. With bigger budgets we can make better films. We have always pushed for originality and something different with our films which the industry more than ever needs right now.
